English articles made easy
The English language has 3 articles: THE, A/AN and the zero article. Let's focus on the first two! How can we choose the correct article?

Now that you have watched the video, you will know that there are two important concepts at play to choose the correct article in English:
- Is the person/thing we are referring to known or unknown to the hearer?
- Is the person/thing we are referring to specific or non-specific?
To answer those simple questions, we have designed 3 PHASES with a series of videos, explanations, and exercises to master the use of articles in English!!

PHASE ONE
Phase One includes 3 videos on 3 different criteria: Shared Knowledge, Unknown to the Hearer, Known to the Hearer
- The 1st video is about the ‘Shared Knowledge' (=something that everybody knows) criterion. Article to use: THE
- The 2nd video is about the ‘Unknown to the Hearer' (=something that the hearer does not know and needs to be introduced as new information) criterion. Article to use: A
- The 3rd video is about the ‘Known to the Hearer' (=something that the hearer knows) criterion. Article to use: THE
