Masanori Matsumura is a Postgraduate Researcher in English Language and Applied Linguistics at the University of Birmingham, starting on the Distance Learning program in January, 2022.

He holds a BA from Osaka University of Foreign Studies, and a Degree of Master of Education from Hyogo University of Teacher Education. He currently works for Meijo University, Nagoya, Japan.

His research interests are in the emergence of language knowledge as a result of input data interacting with cognitive mechanisms, and in second language pedagogy.
