Dr Karolina Zioło-Pużuk
Dr Karolina Zioło-Pużuk is an assistant professor (adiunkt) at the Humanities Department, Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University, Warsaw (Poland). She holds an MA in Cultural Studies from Warsaw University (Poland) and a PhD from the University of Sheffield (UK).
Karolina's research is centred on pragmatics and affect in second language learning, on intercultural communication and on intercultural language learning. She enjoys teaching Polish as a foreign language to different groups of students and likes to take on new challenges in her teaching and research.
She strongly believes that creativity in the language classroom is very important – once she used colourful yarn to make students more confident and less anxious when speaking Polish. Email her for details!
